2008-01-14Reviewer: Paul KellyDrive is extremely fast for transferring data. I have this in a HTPC build at the moment, idle noise is nothing more than a faint hum which is hardly noticeable unless you actually listen for it. Seek noise is a little more noticeable but not to the point that it is irritating. Its great value for money for a 500GB drive and I will be ordering a second one of these for my PC in the next week or two.

2007-11-11Reviewer: CloudhopperRecently bought this HDD Its fast, pretty quite (actually i can't tell if i ever heard it at all in normal operation). Be aware though, this drive has not standard 4pin 12V connector, only SATA power connector.
