2008-08-01Reviewer: robert psenkogood product - not ULTRA quiet - but quiet... on my MB abit IP35 as a case exhaust (AUX FAN) with 1400rpm on max is still quit enough.

2008-02-26Reviewer: PixelapesI know the general consensus is that these fans make no noise, but well, I must have sensitive hearing. I've spent a lot of time ensuring a completely quiet machine and I bought this to add a little extra cooling and no noise.
It does a good job of moving a large volume of air for a very quiet output, but I will say that I've bought a Zalman fan control unit to take it down just a little bit more.
Good fan though, don't get me wrong - I'm just ultra noise sensitive.

2007-07-11Reviewer: WilliamI installed one of these on both sides of my Noctua NH-U12F CPU cooler for that added bit of cooling and as a replacement for one 120mm fan that came with the cooler orignally. They're both barely audible (if at all) while running. Comparable to other 120mm fans (in the 'quiet' category), this Akasa model runs at 1400rpm @ 18dB(A) - You'll find most similar ones run at 900-1000rpm with +/- 1dB(A). So, for extra performance for a mere dB it's surely worth buying. Couple that info with all the awards and complimentary reviews of it on Akasa's site and you know this one is a winner. If it only had some LEDs it'd be perfect :)

2007-07-04Reviewer: Marcin BialasI have two of these for over a year now and I must say they are doing great. They are very noisy at full speed though very efficient. Most of the time I keep them at 600rpm which makes them barely audible. With a 120mm fan from a Scythe Ninja Plus CPU cooler and a Seasonic S12 500 PSU they make for a very quiet PC (all in Antec P160w case). I have it only 1.5m from my bed but sitll I can sleep while the PC is on. The picture of the fan suggests that it generates some light but thankfully it's not. Be aware that at first the fan may generate some rattle but it will last for an hour or so.
