Paying with a Credit Card

Komplett offers a secure way to pay with VISA and MasterCard.
Paying by credit card is a popular and very easy way to purchase online. Unlike many other providers Komplett does not charge a transaction fee.

How do you pay by credit card?

  • For credit card payments we use an external service: Ogone
  • As soon as you've confirmed your order in the checkout you'll be redirected to Ogone's secure payments page. Here you will be prompted to enter all necessary details.
  • When payment is confirmed you will be re-directed to our website where your order will be processed.

3-D Secure and SecureCode
With 3-D CVC and SecureCode paying by Credit Card is safe and secure. 3-D Secure and SecureCode are used by e-commerce retailers around the world to make payment on the internet as safe as possible.
The 3D-Secure technology was developed by Visa and is offered under the brand name Verified by Visa. Similar functionality is offered for MasterCard customers with the SecureCode system. 3-D Secure and SecureCode are an extra step when placing your order and further ensure your safety.

WEEE and Disposal

Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
Waste from electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) has been identified as a priority waste stream by the European Commission due to its potentially hazardous nature, the consumption of resources used during the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment and the expected WEEE growth rates.

Prior to the introduction of the WEEE Regulations 2005 much of the electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in Ireland was disposed of in the municipal waste stream directly to landfill. This is not an ideal solution as WEEE can contain harmful substances that could cause problems to human health and the environment if not treated properly on disposal. In addition production of EEE involves non renewable energy and raw material resources which cannot be recovered if WEEE is disposed of indiscriminately. The WEEE Directive aims to reduce quantities of WEEE disposed of to landfill and reduce the harmful effects caused by WEEE on health and the environment whilst conserving natural resources.

Product Recycling Fund (PRF)
One of the directives is the introduction of the Product Recycling Fund and is used to fund the recycling, processing and safe disposal of old electronic equipment.

The amount corresponds to the cost of recycling for an end-of-life product and is entirely given to the compliance scheme for waste from electrical and electronic equipment in charge of recycling the end-of-life product. The amount may vary mostly depending on the category. Other factors are taken into account to determine the volume of material that can be recycled (weight, capacity of a fridge, size of a TV screen for instance).

All products on the Komplett.ie website that are subject to this environmental management cost will systematically show three distinct prices: the product price, the Producer Recycling Fund cost (PRF) and the total price (see example below)

For a complete overview of the costs and descriptions of these costs, please consult the Category listing WEEE

Recyclable-Waste
This selective collection will ensure the recycling of current products on the market once they reach the end-of-life stage. Local authorities may offer a free collection service for unwanted objects. For more information about removal services or areas where products can be brought to in their local area, please contact your local authority
